先日海外の番組を紹介する動画がお勧めに挙がってきた。
日本で言うファミレスのような場所かな。
黒人を差別する白人。それを非難する周りの人たち。
その中には人種も年齢も性別も関係なかった。
「正しい事ではない！」と怒りと悲しみを露わにする人。
視ているのが辛くなった。
ところが、これは仕掛け人（黒人を差別した白人と、された黒人）
の演技だったんだ。それを見た周りの人がどういう反応するか？
それを観察していた訳だ。日本で言う「ドッキリ番組」だな。
その行為に賛同はできない。しかし現在欧米を中心に起こっている。
人種差別に対する抗議を知るオレにとって、番組の内容はともかく
実に嘆かわしい事だと思った。
差別をしている白人に対し、抗議したのは白人の方が多い。
一緒に勉強をしていたと思われる高校生（？）たちは、当事者に
「ここから出ていって欲しい」と告げた。極めて冷静に。
黒人の子供たちに「君たちは楽しい食事を続けなさい」と諭す白人の男性。
その優しい眼差しは、差別した白人を見た途端、怒りに燃えた。
幾つかのシチュエイションを集めた内容を話した。
番組は解説者が会場に入り、説明をする事で趣旨を伝えていた。
オレが当事者だったら、その人に怒るだろうな。
ただ、これはアメリカの人たちが視聴者の中心だ。
彼らがどういう反応するかが対象なのであって、それにあれこれ言う
立場ではないと、オレは思っている。オレらも有色人種だがね。
今から紹介する画像2枚は、まだ最近のものだ。
黒人が人種差別（白人警官の黒人射殺）デモを行っている場所で
彼らに偶然囲まれてしまった白人男性を守る為に、自ら男性を担ぎ
危険なエリアから遠ざけた。周りの数人が、そんな2人を庇っている。
白人を憎んでいるのではない。差別を憎んでいるのだと、彼の目が語っている。
この画像を見た時、黒人たちの気持ちを思っていたら、落涙した。
悔しさと悲しみと、怒り…。
俯き、拳を握り右腕を挙げ片膝を付くポーズは、主張と非暴力を表す。
冷めた表情で黒人を見ている白人の警官からは、良い印象を得られない。
一番奥の警官は、敵対を避けている仕草だな。
差別が生み出すのは、憎しみと悲しみ。
それらは多くの人たちにとって何のメリットもない。
一部の差別主義者だけが、狂喜しているだけだ。
欧米ではアジア系の人も迫害を受けているとも聞いている。
彼らから見れば、日本人も韓国人も中国人も同じだ。
COVID-19 が齎した悪影響も、それを助長した。
白人も有色人にも、善人も悪人も存在する。
それすら認識できないようでは、人種差別なんか絶対なくならない。
犯罪者をパトロールカーで追跡していた警官が事故に捲き込まれた。
車は大破炎上。ドライバーの警官が脱出できずにいたところへ
黒人男性が救助に向かった。同僚警官と共に無事救出。
助け出されたのは白人警官だった。
後に彼は「為すべき事をしただけ」と語った。
警官に黒人が射殺された事件の後だ。
逆の話だって沢山あるが、今回は割愛させてもらう。
オレは白人総べてが黒人を差別しているとは思ってない。
黒人総べてが白人を憎んでいるとも思ってない。
少なくとも、人種で差別する理由は何処にもない。
故に、人種間に限れば平等に扱われるべきだと主張したい。
“東洋の黄色いサル” だって、同じ人間だよ。
オレを “偽善者” だと思う人は、それで構わない。
言いたい事を勝手に言ってるだけだ。
