今回はアメリカ合衆国関連の話をするが、内容は個人的見解に基づくもの。
政治・思想・差別。これらに対し、合衆国国民の一部に不快感を齎すかもしれない。
あくまで、日本人のオレが述べる “戯言” だ。それは念頭に置いてほしい。
I am a genuine Japanese person.

オレが憧れる国、アメリカ合衆国。
その多様な文化や自由主義。寛容な人柄にとても魅力を感じている。
学びたい事が沢山あり、渡米するのが楽しみだ。
反面、銃社会や人種差別など到底受け入れられない部分もある。
昨今の大統領選挙に伴う混乱もそうだ。
アメリカ最強主義は理解できる。元々がそういうお国柄だし。
「世界の警察」を自他共に認めさせてきた歴史もある。
だがね、それらの解釈を捻じ曲げ「自分たちさえ良ければいい」という考え方には賛同しかねる。
The United States, the country I admire.
Its diverse culture and liberalism. I am very attracted to their tolerant personality.
I have a lot to learn and I am looking forward to going to the United States.
On the other hand, there are some parts that cannot be accepted, such as gun society and racial discrimination.
So is the turmoil associated with the recent presidential election.
America's strongest principle is understandable. Originally it was the situation in such a country.
There is also a history of having other countries recognize the "police of the world."
However, I disagree with the idea that "if we are good, we are right" by bending those interpretations.
誰だって自分が一番大切だ。我が身が可愛い。オレとて例外ではない。
しかしそれを国家規模で行うのは公平ではない。
自分たちの主張をごり押しする為に国民を分断し、海外に敵を作り、差別をする。
これは国民にとって利益を齎す行為だろうか？国益に繋がるだろうか？
現状のアメリカ合衆国を見ていると、とても民主国家とは思えない。
例えるなら、南北戦争の復習をしているようだな。
勝者が正義であるとは限らない。それは歴史を見れば判る。
だがね、明らかに間違っている事は現在でも判断できるものだ。
その間違いに対し、日本人のオレが指摘する資格はない。
Everyone attaches great importance to himself. Protect yourself. I'm no exception.
But it is unfair to do it on a national scale.
Divide the people, create enemies abroad, and discriminate in order to push their claims.
Is this a profitable act for the people? Will it lead to national interests?
Looking at the current state of the United States, it doesn't seem like a democracy.
For example, it seems that you are reviewing the Civil War.
The winner is not always justice. Everyone can tell by looking back on history.
However, it is still possible to judge what is clearly wrong.
I am not qualified to point out that mistake as a Japanese.
日本時間の本日午後、大統領が交代する。
新大統領は就任直後から問題山積で前途多難だろう。
だが、それらに対して力強く前進してくれる事を強く期待している。
アメリカ合衆国が変われば、世界も変わる。これは否定できない現実だ。
それが他国の人にとってメリットがあれば、再び威厳を取り戻せるだろう。
This afternoon in Japan time. The president changes.
Immediately after taking office, the new president will have a lot of problems and will have a difficult time ahead.
I strongly hope that the President will make strong progress on the issues.
If the United States changes, so does the world. This is an undeniable reality.
If it benefits people from other countries, the United States will be able to regain dignity again.
オレが好きなアメリカ合衆国は、強く優しく寛大で、大雑把。
でも拘る部分は徹底的に執着する。そういうところが魅力なんだよ。
スターズアンドストライプスは、その象徴なんじゃないかな。

But they are also perfectionists. That's what makes it so attractive.
I think Stars and Stripes is a symbol of that.
