ある震災関連動画のコメントにあった言葉。
当時女子中学生だった方が被災して避難所に居た時、
援助物資を届けてくれたアメリカ兵がこう言って励ましてくれたそうだ。
この言葉を生涯忘れない…そう記されていた。
当時の大統領を含むアメリカ合衆国の援助は、絶大なものだった。
これは多くの日本人が認識している。
勿論、世界各国が支援の手を差し伸べてくれた事も忘れていない。
プーチン氏の言葉も、よく覚えている。
アフガニスタンの人たちが団結して思いを届けてくれた事も。
大震災の直後から極めて迅速に対応してくれた台湾の関係者や国民。
救援隊は即日入国。どの国よりも早く、最大規模だった。
多額の義援金は、日本人に対する強い友情を感じる。
（オレは、台湾を１つの国家として認識している）
他にも沢山のエピソードがあるが、書ききれない。
彼らからすれば異国である日本に対し、皆さんが同じように
思っていたんじゃないかな。“あなたは日本の侍ですよね？” って。
以前も紹介した海外からのコメント。記憶ではフランスの人だった。
“何があっても負けない日本人を、我々は知っている”
日本人にも善人・悪人がいる。思想が極端に偏った人間もいる。
だが、法と秩序を守り、他人を敬う人がとても多いのも事実だ。
異様な程海外の人に親切だし…。（笑） あ、一部の国は違うか。
言葉は通じないけど、何とか思いを伝えたい！っていう気持ちの
表れだと解釈している。オレだって、きっと同じようにする。
こういう日本人を知ってるんだろうな。
普段は温厚で物静かな日本人。親切で思い遣りがあって。
団結心も忍耐力も強く、災害時の行動は世界でも類を見ない。
助け合う事が当然になっている風習。
だが、本気で怒らせると極めて恐ろしい民族であることも。
そうでなければ “侍” と言う言葉は、出てこないだろう。
オレは日本人だから、同じ日本人を客観的に見るのは難しい。
だから海外からの印象を見聞きしていると、良くも悪くも
国民性が出ていると感じている。
もうどの国でも認識されていると思うが…
忍者は居ないし、ガンダムの開発もしていない。
勿論、侍も居ないんだがね。
それにも関わらず、海外の人は「ジャパニーズ サムライ」と言う。
日本人の精神を正確に理解してくれているのだと思っている。
（勿論、東日本大震災の時もだが）
その東日本大震災の時は、世界中の人たちが思いを寄せてくれた。
祈ってくれた。手を差し伸べてくれた。
そのご恩を、日本人は決して！忘れない。
それらがあるから、ジャパニーズ サムライと言われるのだろう。
海外から見た日本人像は、日本人が思っている以上なのかもしれない。
